Knitwits Classic Jumper Pattern

The Knitwits Classic Jumper is my first jumper pattern release and is a collaboration with Jacqui Fink, using her Soul Aran yarn.

The pattern is written with Australian terms but there are conversions in the pattern as well.

Model is 181cm (5’11) and wears size M.
The length is adjustable and instructions can be found within the pattern. The design is intended to be oversized with 20cm (8”) of positive ease. If you want a tighter fitting garment then look at the “finished size” as an indicator of which size to select.

Soul Aran yarn is an incredibly luxurious cotton blend and about a 10ply/worsted/aran weight. The pattern is written using Soul Aran but any alternative yarns can be used.
Please remember that if you can’t source the yarn that is recommended then try to find a yarn with a similar tension gauge. The tension gauge is the most important part when ensuring your completed jumper is the same as what you see in the pictures.

The design is knit using stocking stitch and knit in panels from the bottom up. The panels are then sewn together to complete the garment. I tried to simplify the pattern as much as possible in order to make it an easy and enjoyable project that will hopefully help you to knit some more complex designs in the future.
